Endeavour Consulting Projects

At Endeavour Consulting, we are proud to offer hydraulic designs across New Zealand. Below we have showcased some of our recent work.

We'd love to know how we can add value to your next project.

538 Karangahape Road

The 538 Karangahape Road project involves a proposed multi-level commercial office building, consisting of 2 basement levels and 9 levels dedicated to open-plan office spaces. The client's vision places a strong emphasis on harnessing the use of mass timber to create a seamless atmosphere and enhance sustainability, further complemented by inviting external terraces, planting and greenery. The iconic sawtooth roof design not only captivates the discerning tastes of the Ponsonby and Karangahape Rd demographic but also serves as a striking emblem for the area into the future.

Our involvement in the design of this building will involve the documentation of subsoil drainage below basement 02 level to align with the Geotechnical report and their professional engineering recommendations connected through cesspits for silt collection before discharge via inground stormwater pipework, manholes and to a stormwater pump chamber discharging into the gravity stormwater network.

Snells Beach Waste Water Treatment Plant Lab, Office, and Control Room

Watercare Wastewater Treatment Plant Control Room Office and Laboratory

This project consisted of a control room/office space/ and laboratory facility of modular construction for Watercare at the Snells Beach Wastewater treatment facility.

The objective was to complete as much of the build off-site to reduce or eliminate as much site work as possible, and reduce health, safety, and environmental risk.

For the hydraulic services, this involved the careful consultation within the design team to ensure that as much of the hydraulic services design was captured within the modular build offsite, and then the coordination and clear documentation of the work required onsite.

This project is currently under construction. Whilst the total value of the project is estimated to be in the realm of $120m, the control room/office and lab, is expected to be in the realm of $5m.

Jordan Ross under Endeavour Consulting provided expert hydraulic consultant design advice for the sanitary plumbing, stormwater, hot and cold-water supplies within the building dripline for this project. The comparison and relevance between these projects include the coordination and clear documentation between the hydraulic services design and architectural fixture appliance schedule for the laboratory which was a key focus throughout the design phases as well as ensuring adequate backflow prevention around the various areas to ensure a high standard of design detailing and protect health and suitable functionality for the property owner.

Dentsu Commercial Fitout

This project entails the comprehensive renovation over 3 levels of the Dentsu commercial premises. It includes the addition of an end of trip facilities that will accommodate the growing needs of modern transport requirements and active lunch breaks for staff whilst enabling them to maintain a high standard of hygiene in preparation for their workday.

The existing structure was made up of a mix of 250 double TT floors with 50 mm topping, and hollowcore in different areas of the building and supported with steel beams and concrete columns. Most areas had exposed services finishing to enable high ceiling finishes, so set out, coordination, and a high-quality installation from the chosen services subcontractors was required.

Canopy Cancer Care

This development consisted of a fit out for the Canopy Cancer Care clinic within the new Ormiston Hospital extension at Ground level. The objective of this project was to provide a hydraulic design for Focus Plan as the chosen fitout contractor. This involved the careful consultation within the design team to ensure that the existing hydraulic services base build design was understood and utilised within the fitout of the proposed tenancy, and then the coordination and clear documentation for the installing sub-contractors. This included coordinating the sanitary drainage below slab level within the 125 mm thick reinforced concrete slab on-grade tied into 660D x 2000W concrete reinforced foundation ground beams. Within the fitout, there was specialist equipment, sanitary fixtures, appliances, and backflow prevention devices that will needed to be considered, all this information was be drawn out during the design phase and captured within our design to ensure a high standard of plumbing was maintained throughout this project.

508 Wainui Road - Kaiti Hub Base Build Refurbishments

This project entails the refurbishment from a medical centre into 5 commercial tenancies. This building generally consists of concrete foundations timber framed walls. This refurbishment required us to provide base build services design for the water supplies sanitary drainage, trade waste drainage, and roof catchment plans to allow for the fit-out for the future tenants which included quick service restaurants for KFC and Pizza Hut.

Gordon St. Gospel Hall

This project entails the construction of a church with associated services and facilities. This building generally consists of concrete foundations and floor slab, with the main auditorium containing a dished floor slab. The external walls and the internal walls around the auditorium are timber framed between a structural steel support frame.

Pukekohe Hospital

The proposed refurbishment involved the replacement of the existing diesel boilers that supply heating and commercial hot water with Mitsubishi CO2 hot water heat pumps. This building offers a full range of healthcare services including a maternity wing, kitchen, extramural services, rehab unit, public health and nurse’s clinic, staff offices, and geriatric wing. Our involvement within this design included providing peak hot water demand and hot water plant sizing for the installing subcontractor, and drawing design review.

Metlifecare Otau Ridge

Endeavour Consulting was engaged on behalf of Metlifecare to assess the buildings proposed to be built at the 17 Clevedon-Kawakawa Road site within the Auckland Region of the potential Infrastructure Growth Charges to submit to Watercare for their approval.

Endeavour Consulting Projects

Asure Quality Office

AsureQuality is a large food assurance services business owned by the NZ government that covers the food and primary production sectors. Within their Lynnfield site AsureQuality is building a brand-new Office facility that includes Stability Chambers, Chilled/Ambient Retentions, Engineering workshop, Open plan Office, End of Trip Facilities, Cafeteria with 2 kitchens to cater for the full site, and Training Rooms.

This project is about to award the contract for construction and is the first stage as part of a major plan for the site which includes upgrading the future Chemistry Building, Micro path Laboratories, and Reception.

The first stage construction costs are estimated to be in the realm of $20m.

Jordan Ross under Endeavour Consulting and eCubed Building Workshop provided expert hydraulic consultant design advice for the sanitary plumbing, stormwater, hot and cold-water supplies within the building dripline for this project. Being a food assurance services business, it was important to understand the entire operation of this business and how the various existing areas operated and would transfer over to the proposed building. The building site covers a very large area with multiple buildings, so it was important to understand the overall infrastructure and how the new building would tie in and impact that. Several site visits were undertaken, and a strong relationship was formed with the client leaving them feeling confident in the service we were engaged for. Rainwater re-use was explored, and a report issued for consideration to the client with a design proposal, estimated water demand, coordination with civil design, capital costings, calculations, recommendations, and future ongoing maintenance to allow the client to make a clear and informed decision on its feasibility.

Green Bay High School

Endeavour consulting were engaged by project managers to upgrade four of GBHS bathroom block facilities as part of a wider plan to not only upgrade their aging amenities, but because they no longer met their modern requirements. Within schools there is an awareness for the increased need for privacy that allows both full privacy to the user, and health and safety to the supervising teachers.

This project was completed in January this year and the estimated construction costs are in the realm of $5m

Jordan Ross under Endeavour Consulting provided expert hydraulic consultant design advice for the sanitary plumbing, stormwater, hot and cold-water supplies for this project. Our input was needed to ensure the fixture selection and operation met the building code requirements as well as future proofing for future potential vandalism.

There was an increased loading on the existing infrastructure and so the locating of the existing pipework and assessment of its condition was vitally important. The increased fixture loading meant the existing concrete slab needed to be cut and made good for the newly proposed fixtures, and so the coordination with the wider design team and understanding of the existing subgrade levels was important to ensure its buildability and the construction costs remained on track from design into construction.

We are expecting the Pet Refuge Shelter to be similar in this aspect to the cattery/admin block, laundry and chemical storage which requires the existing slab to remain. The coordination of the sanitary drainage to these fixtures, and the cutting of the slab and making good will require careful coordination as part of the wider design team.

Auckland Meat Processing Boning Room Amenities

Within the design, there will be specialist equipment, sanitary fixtures, appliances, and backflow prevention devices that will need to be considered, all this information will be drawn out and captured within our design to you to ensure a high standard of plumbing is maintained throughout this project.

Lakes Orthodontics – Wanaka

The proposed development consists of a fit out for an orthodontic clinic for your client Lakes Orthodontics. The objective is to provide a hydraulic design for your company as the chosen plumbing contractor. This will involve the careful consultation within the design team to ensure that the existing hydraulic services base build design can be understood and utilised within the fitout of the proposed tenancy, and then the coordination and clear documentation for your team to install. Within the fitout, there will be specialist equipment, sanitary fixtures, appliances, and backflow prevention devices that will need to be considered, all this information will be drawn out and captured within our design to you to ensure a high standard of plumbing is maintained throughout this project.
